Two dead, two dozen injured following Boston Marathon explosions
BOSTON Two people were killed and 23 were injured after two bombs detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday. Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the chaos. Bloody spectators were being carried to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners. Boston police said a third explosion had occurred at the JFK Library at about 4:30 p.m. and two additional explosive devices were found near the marathon route. They were being dismantled.
