Footprints In Snow Lead Dalton Police To Suspects
DALTON, Ga. — The snow blanketing much of north Georgia helped police catch a pair of burglary suspects.
Dalton police spokesman Bruce Frazier tells WSB radio that officers responded to a burglar alarm going off at a liquor store around 4 a.m. Monday. The glass in the front door had been smashed in.
Frazier said snow had been falling for about four hours before the burglary. Officers found fresh footprints in the snow and followed them to the door of a nearby apartment.
The officers knocked on the door and found two suspects inside. They arrested Sebastian Love and Adrian Estrada, both 19, after finding a backpack with five bottles of the missing vodka in the apartment.
The two men face burglary charges and other charges.
