Trooper Widow Expresses Sympathy For Family Of Murdered Officer
Her husband, Georgia State Trooper Chad LeCroy, was shot to death following a traffic stop last December.
She says her heart goes out to the widow of Athens-Clarke County Senior Officer Elmer Buddy Christian.
Its very hard. I just hope that she is strong through all of this and can be there for the kids. Its where you got to be, there with the kids. Shell get through it, said LeCroy.
LeCroy sat down with Channel 2 Action News reporter Tom Regan.

She said she cant give enough thanks to all of those who have supported her through the tragedy of her husbands violent death.
I have been strong through this. That is how Chad would want me to be. The support has been phenomenal, LeCroy said.
LeCroy is paying honor to her late husband by launching a petition drive to enact a law that would impose tougher penalties on convicted felons who violate probation and make it harder for repeat offenders to be released on probation.
She calls it Chads Law.
The man charged in her husbands murder, Gregory Favors, has a lengthy criminal record and was out on probation when the incident happened.
My husband would be here today if he had been behind bars. LeCroy said.
