ATLANTA -- A city of Atlanta Public Works employee will soon be trading his work uniform for a jail suit.Atlanta police arrested Claude Brooks on charges of public urination last Friday. When police ran Brooks’ fingerprints, they matched those of a man already in the database under the name of Edward Nathan. MONROE, Ga. -- Investigators in Walton and Greene counties said they believe a Loganville man killed his ex-wife, then died at a relative's home. Walton County authorities said 52-year-old Robert Cook was staying with his ex-wife, 60-year-old Judy Clay, when Cook strangled her with an electrical cord. ALBANY, Ga. -- Authorities have accused a south Georgia sheriff's deputy of stealing the identity of an inmate. Deputy Charles Tharpe was arrested Tuesday and charged with computer theft. Investigators said Tharpe, an 11-year veteran, used jail computers to steal an inmate's social security number and personal information, then used the information to open accounts for cash.
